pinned down by the glue
of my inadequacy
i strain against the skewer of
doubt that pierces my
soul
and holds me fast on
a sea of glass
without wings to lend
impetus to my struggle
choking to death on a
surfeit of hope
i lie back and wait
balanced on the fulcrum
of mediocrity
my days pass in the
silence between
my ears
foreshadowed by hope,
weighed down by waiting
i seek cheap thrills,
lifting a foot, dancing
on the edge of my
seesaw of life

imagery senor, good.
morbid hope, ..er.. somehting like that. thats what flashed in my mind.
Zimbly put my friend is straining to lift his weighed down wings.
hmm didn't know you too were bitten by jakenalia :)
zimbly put that poem there... lol
is that like bacchanalia?
male bonding... it works like that :D
It is also known as Insufferable Jakenalia! :)
understanding people are suffering.
all for a good cause mate. for the queen country and nalia.
Nalia, thats anice name :D
throw off the yoke of the british.
you are oppressed. brother. stand free, and proud. holding your khadi loincloth.
subvert. subvert. the language and the culture. the rebellion is upon us.
umm... nalia is probably an imaginary person. i hope she isnt a friend, in that case.
why throw the yoke off ?
they did good for us. rail system, postal system. i agree about freedom and oppression and all, but seriously left to us, when was the last time you have sen initiative in us,as a people ?
And as for the language, i speak english, the language spoken in england where it came from, not the gibberish spoken in the US, ahem! ..
and nalai can be an imaginary person. i can do as i please with her then. sizzle! ;-)
lol. i hear we invented zero.
ahem. language is constantly changing... my point was more about holding on the the bitter relics of a past that should have been buried... when they left. feel free to use the word puntaaa instead. or some such equivalent to keep the flavor.
undoubtedly imaginary... considering it went from nalia to nalai. btw, a google image search for nalai shows up with jayalalitha's pic. i dont want to follow that train of thought in explicit detail.
imaginary is not as good as the real thing, so make that a tuss pataki.
LOL! jayalalitha .. no i dont need those visuals ..
but yeah, its nalia .. not nalai. btw do you google everything ? u victim of technology.
and an image search for nalia turns up ugly cgi that resembles drew barrymore.
google isnt really technology anymore. its become a social skill.
let me encourage you to google more often. may your searches always turn up something you can use.
now if only google could expand the subset it searches from and delivers.
Then we are talking ;-)
